  • Sandwell Strategic Boards Partnership Protocol: The statutory strategic partnership board chairs now meet on a regular basis throughout the year with the aim of considering and working on an agreed set of priorities that support key pieces of collaborative work going on across the council and with partners.
    The board chairs recognise and understand the significance that working in a collaborative manner and have chosen 2 priorities where they believe they can add real value as a cross board partnership. They are Prevention of Violence and Exploitation and developing a joint engagement, training and communications offer.
    The chairs have developed a partnership protocol which lays out an agreed set of values and behaviours that will underpin and strengthen partnership working.   • 2017-18 SSCB Annual Report:
    The annual report provides an assessment of the performance and effectiveness of local services in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in Sandwell during 2017- 18, as well as providing an account of the activities, development and impact of the Board in meeting its statutory responsibilities. It is intended to be read by both professionals and members of the public.
  • 2017-18 Business Plan:
    The SSCB Business Plan sets the strategic direction for the LSCB. The Business Plan also reinforces the specific role of SSCB to lead, challenge and support learning and improvement. The plan identifies specific priorities for action and is clear about roles and accountability.
  • 2017-19 Multi Agency CSE Strategy:
    The CSE Strategy emphasises the importance of a strong partnership across all agencies responsible for safeguarding children. Organisations such as West Midlands Police, health services and the local authority cannot work in isolation when seeking to combat child sexual exploitation and protect children and young people in Sandwell. It is only through working together that we will be successful in our work in this complex area.
  • Communications Strategy:
    The SSCB communications strategy expresses the goals and methods of the Board’s outreach activities, including what it wishes to share and whom it is trying to reach.
  • SSCB Constitution:
    The purpose of this document is to set out how SSCB will meet the Statutory Objectives set out in Section 14 of the Children Act which are to coordinate, and ensure the effectiveness, of what is done by each person or body represented on the Board for the purposes of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in Sandwell.
