Quality Assurance Framework

Quality Assurance Framework

The Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) outlines the areas of consideration for the QPP Sub Group and the expectations of partner agencies in assuring the SCSP that the single and multi-agency work in Sandwell is effective in improving the lives of children and young people.  The QAF includes the following components:

  • Section 11 Audit: Monitoring partner compliance with the statutory requirement to have effective safeguarding arrangements in place (as detailed in the Children Act 2004)
  • Section 175/ 157 Audit: Monitoring compliance by the education sector with the statutory requirement to have effective safeguarding arrangements in place (as detailed in the Education Act 2002)
  • Multi-agency Audits: The SCSP multi-agency audits provide a means of assessing multi-agency work on specific themes. The audits provide recommendations for improvement and highlight areas of best practice.
  • Performance Data Reports: The QPP has agreed a multi-agency dataset which is analyzed on a quarterly basis to identify areas of concerns, areas that need further investigation, and areas of success.

The QAF is used to drive improvement in training and practice, policy and procedure and provides the underpinning structure to measure and assure these priorities are achieved.
